Proof Banner, and a Countdown Timer that reads like a ledger
Two new product-page blocks: a Proof Banner that welds a claim, a customer quote and your seals into one card under the gallery, and a Countdown Timer that counts to a real date over real stock.
Two blocks join the theme editor's Apps group for product pages.
Proof Banner
A bordered card for the space directly under your product gallery. It carries three things as one object: a bold claim in your words, a customer's quote with their name under it, and a rail of two to four seals with a label each, such as "Free returns" or "Ships in 24h".
A few things it does on purpose:
- Nothing is invented. There is no bundled star rating, no review-site logo and no stock photo of a customer. Every word is yours, and the preset quote reads as a placeholder so a store that never edits it publishes nothing that looks like a review it does not have.
- One outline. The card edge, the seam above the seals and the lines between them are drawn in one tone that clears the contrast floor for a control boundary, so the seals read as cells and not as decoration.
- A sweep of light, once, when the card scrolls into view, and then every seven seconds. It crosses the headline and the seals only, never the card, and it does not run at all for shoppers who have asked their device for reduced motion.
- Your colours, our arithmetic. You set the card, the rail, the ink and the seal colour. The softer tone for the quote and the outline are derived from your ink and checked against your own colours, so there is no knob to get wrong.
Fewer than two labels hides the rail, an empty quote hides its attribution, and an empty block renders nothing on your live store while the editor still shows the demo copy. It works from a narrow buy column up to a full gallery width, because which slot your theme offers is the theme's call.
Countdown Timer
A deadline over a stock gauge, for the buy column. The time reads as a ledger clock: big numerals for hours, minutes and seconds, each with a small label beneath, beside your heading. A days unit appears in front once more than a day remains, and the column is wide enough to hold it, so nothing shifts when the last day begins.
It stays honest by construction:
- It counts to a date you set. Until you set one it shows demo digits in the editor and nothing on your live store. It never restarts per visitor.
- At zero it stops on your ended message, or hides. It never rolls into a fresh window.
- The optional gauge measures real inventory against a threshold you choose and prints the real remaining count. It is never a "percent sold", because Shopify does not expose how many units you started with.
The live dot beside the timer label pulses; the numerals keep counting for everyone, including shoppers who prefer reduced motion, because the time is information and the pulse is not.
