Pricing FAQ

Questions about the bill.

Will pricing stay free forever?+

A paid tier may arrive once Modulo is Built-for-Shopify certified. Stores that install before a paid tier launches are grandfathered onto the free plan permanently.

That commitment is binding and survives changes of pricing, plan structure, or ownership — it's written into the terms.

Are there transaction fees or revenue share?+

No. Modulo doesn't take a cut of bundle revenue, doesn't mark up shipping, and doesn't add fees at checkout. Bundle discounts go through Shopify's native discount engine — the money flows the same way it always did.

Are there any usage limits?+

No traffic caps, no view caps, no order caps. Use every section, every block, and every bundle on every page. The only practical limit is the 2.0 theme framework itself.

What does “grandfathered” actually mean?+

If you installed Modulo before a paid plan exists, your store keeps the feature set you signed up for at no charge for as long as Modulo operates. You don't lose access to features when a paid plan launches, you don't get downgraded, and you don't get pushed into a trial. Uninstalling and reinstalling under a paid plan would reset that, so if you ever take Modulo off, email me first.

Why is it free?+

Self-funded, no investors, no growth team. I'm building Modulo from runway, which is why a free launch tier is the math working out — not a marketing hook. Eventually paid plans cover servers and time; until they exist, free.

Ready when you are

One install. Free at launch. No tiers.

Add Modulo to a duplicated theme first if you want to test before publishing. Sections are theme-scoped — easy to add, easy to remove.
