Built by one person who got tired of stitching five apps together.
I'm a solo operator building the Shopify toolkit I wished existed when I was running my own stores. No VC, no growth team, no upsells.
Why I built this.
I spent years running Shopify stores myself, and the worst part was always the app sprawl. A page builder here, a bundle app there, an upsell add-on, a sticky-cart, a reviews widget. Six monthly bills, six admin UIs, six different ideas of what "native" means, and a storefront slower than the day I launched.
Modulo is the version of all of that I wanted. One install, one admin, native sections you drop into the theme editor exactly like Dawn's, and a bundling engine that talks to Shopify's own discount APIs instead of fighting checkout.
Why one app instead of five.
The typical Shopify storefront I audited had between six and eleven third-party apps installed. Each one injected a script into the theme <head>. Each one added 20 to 80KB to the storefront. Each one had its own admin UI, its own pricing tier, its own monthly bill.
This is bad for merchants and it's bad for shoppers. I built Modulo to consolidate the most-needed pieces (sections, blocks, bundles) into a single install, rendered server-side, with one admin UI and one (currently $0) bill.
The "five apps" framing isn't marketing. It's the actual reduction in apps installed on stores I've migrated during the private beta.
Transparent operator.
I don't have investors. I'm self-funded out of revenue from previous projects, with enough runway to not need to charge for a while. That's why I can confidently offer the free-forever grandfather clause. It's not a hook, it's just the math working out.
How to reach me.
Email hello@runmodulo.com. The reply comes from me, usually within four hours during EU working hours, often much faster. There's no chatbot, no triage layer, no "support engineer" role. Every email is read by the person who can ship the fix.
If you want to compare notes on running a Shopify storefront, I'd genuinely love to hear from you. Same address.
The team.
One person. No headcount plan beyond that.
The founder
Founder · EverythingWrites the section renderer, designs every template, runs the admin UI, ships the changelog, answers every email. If you've emailed Modulo, you've emailed me. Reach me at hello@runmodulo.com.
Install Modulo. Email me. Tell me what's missing.
I read every install, literally. My admin pings me when someone new comes on. The fastest way to influence what I build next is to email me with what you wish it did.
