Social UGC: three new sections, plus Facebook everywhere
Frame customer clips as real social posts. Two new sections for feed and reel layouts, a video testimonial coverflow, and Facebook now sits alongside TikTok, Instagram and YouTube across every video section.
Customer clips convert better when they look like what they are: somebody else's post, not your ad. A watermark in the corner of a video reads as our footage with a logo on it. The frame around the video is what changes that, so this release is mostly about frames.
Social Post
The feed frame. A 4:5 clip sits inside card chrome (avatar, handle, platform mark, caption, engagement row), the way a post looks in the app it came from. Add posts as blocks, upload the clip, type the handle and caption.
The caption does one clever thing: type a plain sentence and every #hashtag colours itself in your accent. No separate field, no markup. It matches on the first character only, so a product name like size#2 stays plain text.
Engagement counts are yours to type, and they stay exactly where you put them. Nothing ticks upward on its own, and the row is deliberately not clickable, because a like button that does not like anything is a dark pattern (and in the EU, a legal problem).
Social Reel
Same content, vertical frame. A 9:16 clip with the chrome laid over the video instead of around it, four across, which is the shape TikTok, Reels and Shorts actually are. Ships on a white page so the dark clips carry the section.
Both frames loop, optionally: reach the last post and the first one is already there, no snap back to the start.
Video Coverflow
A depth carousel for video testimonials. The centre clip comes forward, its neighbours fall back and dim, and a band across the bottom carries the name, a verified seal, a short detail line and stars. Two treatments: a smoked band for dark footage, frosted glass for bright.
Worth knowing, since it caused some rework here: gold stars are invisible on frosted glass (they measure roughly 1.2:1 against it). The frosted treatment swaps to a dark ink for the stars instead of quietly shipping something unreadable.
Facebook, everywhere
Facebook was missing from every video section. It now appears alongside TikTok, Instagram and YouTube in Video Social, Video Social Minimal and Clip Showcase, with a proper full-colour mark, and both new sections support it out of the box.
If you already have one of those three installed, open it from the catalogue and choose Update to latest. Your settings are kept.
One thing to check before you post
Re-uploading someone's clip needs their permission, whatever the platform's own terms say about sharing. The sections say so in the editor for a reason. Ask the creator first, and the default subheading ("re-shared with their permission") stays true.
