New Blog category: Blog Rail + Blog Slider
Two article carousels that read your real blog: pick a blog and the latest posts appear, complete with tags, dates and a computed reading time.
Stores that write — guides, lookbooks, care instructions — finally have somewhere to put it. This release adds a new Blog category with two sections that read your actual Shopify blog, so the cards fill themselves.
Both work the same way underneath: pick a blog and the newest posts flow in automatically, or add Article blocks to curate the line-up by hand, each with an optional custom description that overrides the excerpt.
Blog Rail
The elevated take. Every card carries chrome that only real articles can produce: the post's first tag as a frosted chip over the photo, the publish date, and a reading time computed from the article's own word count. Cards lift on hover with a slow photo zoom, arrows page the rail, and a sliding progress thumb tracks where you are. A fractional slides-per-view (3.3 out of the box) leaves the next story peeking in, which is what makes people scroll.
Blog Slider
The quiet take. Hairline-bordered cards with the photo up top and a title plus short description below — nothing else. Photos keep their natural proportions by default, like a magazine contact sheet, and the floating arrows fade away when you reach either end.
