Slideshow Classic — link the whole slide

Slideshow Classic slides could only be clicked on their buttons. If your slide artwork already has the headline and a "Buy now" laid into the photo, there was nothing to click.

Each slide now takes an optional Slide link. Set it and the whole image becomes clickable, so you can design the slide exactly how you like and let the entire thing lead to one destination.

A few details worth knowing:

• Buttons still win. If a slide has both a slide link and buttons, each button keeps its own destination. Only the area around them follows the slide link.
• Swiping still works. Swiping a linked slide on a phone changes the slide instead of opening the link.
• Add a link description. A whole-slide link has no text of its own, so screen readers need one. It falls back to the slide heading, then the image's alt text.

Leave the slide link blank and nothing changes.
